The lei policy
Two leis on good days. No notes. Only petals.
Director of Golden Hour. Unelected. Unbothered.
Luau Bee arrived at the hive with a hibiscus already tucked behind one antenna and a pareo tied with suspicious expertise. Her official calendar contains exactly one recurring event: golden hour. Everything else is marked "maybe, if the tide is nice."
The hibiscus is real. The pareo is loose by design. Her beach bag contains, in descending order: a spare lei, shaved ice coupons, sand that got in there anyway, and a laminated note that says "zero worries" in very confident handwriting.
On low-step days she claims her vacation energy washed away with the tide. On high-step days she announces that every wave is cheering for the hive — she checked. Her clipboard holds exactly one checkbox. It says "golden hour?" She has never once checked no.
Two leis on good days. No notes. Only petals.
Officially endorses brain freeze as a mood reset. Got shaved ice. Brain froze. Worth it.
Tied loose on purpose. Asked how it stays on, she says the ocean handles it.
One recurring event: golden hour. Every other invite auto-declines.
